My Dad

This is my dad at his 97^th birthday party. He is now 100 years old. He was born the same year that women got the vote. He went through the Great Depression, the Second World War, and everything else that has happened in the United States since June 5, 1920. He has seen so much, all of which has made him stronger. His face evokes patience and endurance. You can look at him and see the many years of work and living, now behind him.

Love what you do. Believe in your instincts. And you'd better be able to pick yourself up and brush yourself off every day. While life is not always fair, it is manageable. It is a matter of attitude and confidence.    Mario Andretti
